Domains and publishing

Publishing, your free address, connecting a domain, the standard DNS records and fixing problems. 17 articles.

Create a website

Start a new site from a template or a blank page. It’s ready to edit in seconds.

  1. In your Snapps dashboard, open My Sites.
  2. Click + Build Now.
  3. Pick a category on the left (Agency, Blog, Brick & Mortar, Funnel, Lead Gen, Small Business, Store or Wireframe) or search the library.
  4. Click a template to start from it, or choose Blank Template to start from an empty page.
  5. Snapps creates your site and opens it in the editor.

Every new site gets a free address like yoursite.snapps.site, so you can preview and share it before you have a domain.

TipChoose the template whose layout is closest to what you want. Colours, fonts, words and images all change in a few clicks.

Save, preview and publish

Your work saves automatically. Publishing is what makes it visible to visitors.

  1. Edit as usual. The status at the top shows Saved once a change is stored.
  2. Click Preview to see the page in a new tab, exactly as visitors will.
  3. Click Publish. Check Publishing to shows the right address, then click Publish now (or Preview first).

  6. Links: click every button and menu item in Preview.
  7. Search engines: turn off Hide the whole site from Google if you used it while building.

Browser requirements

The editor runs in your browser. There’s nothing to install.

  • Use a current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari on a desktop or laptop.
  • A wide screen makes editing comfortable; phones are too small for the editor.
  • Your published site works on all modern browsers, phones and tablets.
TipIf the editor behaves oddly, update your browser, pause ad blockers for the editor, or try a private window.

How pages are built: sections, columns and elements

Every page is a stack of sections. Sections hold columns, and columns hold elements.

  • Section: a full-width band of the page with its own background and spacing.
  • Column: a vertical area inside a section. Columns sit side by side and stack on phones.
  • Inner Row: a row of columns inside a column, for layouts within layouts.
  • Element: the content itself: headings, text, images, buttons, forms and more.

Layers shows this structure for the current page, plus the header and footer that appear on every page.

TipClick an element, then use the selection path at the bottom of the canvas to select its column or section.
?

Still stuck? Email support@snapps.ai with your Site ID and a screenshot.

Add, move, duplicate and delete sections

Build a page by stacking sections.

  1. Open Add and drag Section onto the page, or click it to add it below the selected section. You can also use the Add section button between sections.
  2. Hover a section to see its toolbar: Move up, Move down, Duplicate, Save section and Delete.
  3. Or select it and use the … menu at the top of the right panel.
TipCtrl/Cmd+D duplicates the selected section; the copy appears right below it.
?

Still stuck? Email support@snapps.ai with your Site ID and a screenshot.

Add and arrange elements

Elements are the building blocks inside sections.

  1. Open Add. Search by name or browse Layout, Basic, Content and Blog.
  2. Drag an element onto the page, or select something on the page and click the element to add it right below.
  3. Move elements by dragging them on the canvas or in Layers, or with Move up / Move down.

What’s in Add

  • Layout: Header, Footer, Section, Column, Inner Row, Spacer, Divider.
  • Basic: Heading, Text, Image, Button, Icon, Social Icons, List.
  • Content: Before / After, Gallery, Tabs, Accordion, Slider, Counter, Rating, Reviews, Testimonials, Pricing, Google Reviews, Nav, Breadcrumbs, Hours, Form, HTML, Map, Video.
  • Blog: Posts (and post layout elements when editing the blog template).
?

Columns and section layout

Choose how many columns a section has and how it fills the screen.

  1. Select the section and open the Layout tab.
  2. Columns: pick a layout. Picking one adds or merges columns and keeps your content.
  3. Width: Boxed keeps content within the site width; Full width runs edge to edge. You can also set a custom content width.
  4. Height: Fit content, Full screen (fills the visitor’s screen) or Custom with a minimum height.
  5. Gap between columns, Content alignment and Direction (Row, or Stack to put columns on top of each other).

Select a column to set its own width, background and alignment of the elements inside it.

?

Still stuck? Email support@snapps.ai with your Site ID and a screenshot.

Theme: colours, fonts and global styles

Theme styles apply across the whole site, so one change updates every page.

  1. Open Theme in the left toolbar.
  2. Colors: set Primary, Secondary, Text, Accent, Background and extra colours. Click Add color to add more.
  3. Typography: choose the heading and body fonts, then the size, weight and line height of H1 to H6 and paragraphs.
  4. Buttons: the Primary and Secondary button styles.
  5. Layout: content width and section, column and widget spacing.
  6. Images, Background and Forms: image corners, the page and site background, and the style every form uses.

Use the Desktop, Tablet and Mobile tabs at the top of Theme to give smaller screens their own sizes. Tablet and mobile inherit desktop until you change them.

TipElements that use theme colours follow the theme. If you give an element a custom colour, Reset to theme brings it back.
?

Still stuck? Email support@snapps.ai with your Site ID and a screenshot.

Backgrounds: colour, image, slideshow and video

Give a section or column a colour, a photo, a rotating set of photos or a silent video.

  1. Select the section and open Style › Background.
  2. Color: pick a theme colour or a custom one.
  3. Image: click Replace to choose from Media. Drag the dot to set which part stays visible when cropped, and choose Fit (Cover, Contain, Original size or Stretch).
  4. Slideshow: under Image, use Choose images and pick several. Set how often it changes.
  5. Video: upload an MP4 (up to 20 MB) or paste a YouTube or Vimeo link. It plays muted on a loop, without controls.
  6. On scroll: Stays fixed gives a parallax effect for images.

Overlay, corners, border and shadow

Add an Overlay (Dark, Light or Primary, with a strength) to keep text readable over photos. Under Shape, choose Square, Soft or Round corners, a border and a shadow.

TipKeep background videos short and light. Add a background image too, so the section isn’t blank while the video loads.
?

Still stuck? Email support@snapps.ai with your Site ID and a screenshot.

Spacing, padding and alignment

Control the space inside and around any section, column or element.

  1. Select the item and open Advanced › Spacing.
  2. Click a number in the MARGIN (outside) or PADDING (inside) box and type a value in pixels.
  3. Hold Alt while typing to set the opposite side to the same value.

Default spacing between sections, columns and elements across the site is in Theme › Layout.

Good to knowSpacing is per device. Change it in Mobile view to affect phones only.
?

Still stuck? Email support@snapps.ai with your Site ID and a screenshot.

Design for desktop, tablet and mobile

Every Snapps site is responsive. Fine-tune each screen size without separate pages.

  1. Use the Desktop, Tablet and Mobile buttons at the top of the editor.
  2. In Tablet or Mobile view, spacing and visibility changes apply to that device only.
  3. In Theme, open the Mobile tab to set smaller heading sizes.
  4. Columns stack on phones. In the section’s Layout tab, turn off Stack columns on mobile to keep them side by side, or turn on Reverse order on mobile to show the second column first.
Good to knowText, images and links are the same on every device. Only layout and style change.
TipOpen Preview on your phone for the real thing.
?

Still stuck? Email support@snapps.ai with your Site ID and a screenshot.

Show or hide items on each device

Hide something on phones (or desktop) without deleting it.

  1. Select the section, column or element.
  2. Open Advanced › Show on and turn off Desktop, Tablet or Mobile.
  3. Use Hidden in the left toolbar to show or hide those items on the canvas while you work.
TipA common pattern: a full menu on desktop and a short call-to-action strip on mobile.
?

Still stuck? Email support@snapps.ai with your Site ID and a screenshot.

Entrance animations and hover effects

Add motion to any section, column or element. No code needed.

  1. Select the item and open Advanced › Motion.
  2. Entrance animation: Fade in, Fade up, Fade down, Slide in from right, Slide in from left or Zoom in. Add a Delay to stagger items.
  3. Hover effect: Grow, Lift with shadow or Shrink.

Entrance animations play when the item scrolls into view on the published site and in Preview.

TipPick one or two entrance styles for the whole site. Staggered delays on a row of cards look polished; animating everything looks busy.
?

Still stuck? Email support@snapps.ai with your Site ID and a screenshot.

Save sections and reuse them

Save a section once and add it to any page.

  1. Hover the section on the canvas and click the bookmark (Save section) in its toolbar.
  2. To use it, open Saved in the left toolbar and click it. It’s added after the selected section, or at the end of the page.
  3. Edit the copy freely. It doesn’t change the saved original.
TipSave your call-to-action band, contact block and testimonial strip so every page stays consistent.
?

Still stuck? Email support@snapps.ai with your Site ID and a screenshot.

Sticky sections and headers

Keep the header, or any section, visible as visitors scroll.

  1. Select the header (or a section).
  2. Open Advanced › Behavior.
  3. Turn on Stick to the top while scrolling.
TipKeep sticky headers compact so they don’t cover too much of a phone screen.
?

Still stuck? Email support@snapps.ai with your Site ID and a screenshot.

Add, rename, duplicate and delete pages

Manage pages in the Pages panel.

Good to knowDeleting a page can’t be undone. Duplicate it first if you might need it again.
?

Still stuck? Email support@snapps.ai with your Site ID and a screenshot.

Your homepage

The homepage lives at the root of your address (/) and has the Homepage badge in Pages.

Edit it like any page. Its address can’t change, because the homepage always lives at the root.

To use different content as your homepage, move that content into Home (save the sections, then add them from Saved), and redirect the old page’s address in Settings › Redirects.

?

  3. For a dropdown heading that isn’t a page, use a page’s … menu › Make it a menu folder, and nest pages under it.
  4. Keep a page out of the menu with Hide from navigation.

Custom menu items

Select the Nav element and open Menu items. Click Add link to add your own menu items. Reset to pages goes back to the automatic menu built from your pages.

Business data in text

Use the business data button to insert your phone, email, address or a custom field from Business info. Change it once in Settings and it updates everywhere.

?

Still stuck? Email support@snapps.ai with your Site ID and a screenshot.

How Snapps optimizes images

You don’t need to resize photos for each screen.

Every upload is converted to WebP in four sizes (160, 480, 960 and 1600 pixels wide). Each visitor’s browser loads the size it needs, and the space is reserved so the page doesn’t jump while images load.

  • Upload photos around 1600 to 2000 pixels wide.
  • Use SVG or PNG for logos.
  • Keep originals under a few MB for fast uploads.
?

Still stuck? Email support@snapps.ai with your Site ID and a screenshot.

Alt text

Alt text describes an image for screen readers and search engines.

  1. Open Media and click the image, or select the Image element.
  2. Type a short, specific description, such as “Technician repairing a boiler”.
  3. Galleries and sliders have an alt text field for each image.
TipDescribe the picture, don’t stuff keywords. Purely decorative images can stay empty.

Not receiving form emails?

Work through these checks.

  1. Look in the form’s Submissions. If the lead is there, the form works and the issue is the email.
  2. Check there’s a Notification email action with the right address, and the form is saved.
  3. Make sure you’ve published since adding it.
  4. Check spam and junk folders, and add the sender to your contacts.

  1. In Settings › SEO, set a Default title, Default description and Site language.
  2. Give key pages their own meta title and description in Page settings › SEO.
  3. Fill in Settings › Business info. Snapps turns it into structured data.

Sitemap and robots.txt

Snapps creates both for you.

  • Your sitemap is rebuilt on every publish at /sitemap.xml. Hidden pages are left out.
  • robots.txt uses a standard file. To change it, open Settings › SEO › robots.txt › Customize. Leave it blank to go back to the generated file.
Good to knowA wrong robots.txt rule can hide your site from Google. Only change it if you’re sure.

How publishing works

Snapps saves every edit as you go. Nothing changes on your live site until you publish.

  1. Click Publish at the top right of the editor.
  2. Check Publishing to. It shows your free address, and your own domain once it’s connected (use Add domain to connect one).
  3. Click Publish now, or Preview first to look before you publish.
  4. Snapps builds and uploads your pages. When you see Your site is live, your changes are online.

You can keep editing while it publishes. Anything you change goes out with your next publish.

What a publish includes

  • Every page, the header and footer, popups and published blog posts.
  • SEO titles and descriptions, the sitemap and robots.txt.
  • Redirects, tracking IDs (Analytics, Tag Manager, pixels) and code injection.
  • Your domain settings, including which address is primary.
TipThe arrow next to Publish has Publish without review, Open live site and Connect your domain.
Good to knowIf you see Publish failed, click Try again. If it keeps failing, contact support with your Site ID.

Your free Snapps address

Every site has a free address on snapps.site, so you can publish and share before you have a domain.

  1. Open Settings › Domain.
  2. Find Your free Snapps address, for example yoursite.snapps.site.
  3. Use Copy to share it or Visit to open it.

It always works, even after you connect your own domain. That makes it handy for checking the site while DNS changes are still spreading.

TipBuilding a site that isn’t ready yet? Turn on Hide the whole site from Google in Settings › SEO until launch.

Connect your own domain

Use a domain you already own, from any provider.

  1. Open Settings › Domain (or Connect your domain under the arrow next to Publish).
  2. Under Use your own domain, type your domain, for example www.yourbusiness.com, and click Connect.
  3. Snapps lists the DNS records to add, with the exact names and values for your domain.
  4. Add them at the company you bought the domain from (see The standard DNS records and the guides for each provider).
  5. Leave Settings › Domain open, or come back later. It checks on its own and switches your domain on as soon as the records are found.
  6. Publish, so your site goes out on the new address.
Good to knowTyping it without www? Snapps connects www.yourbusiness.com and sends yourbusiness.com to it automatically.
Good to knowOne custom domain can be connected per site. To use a different one, remove the current domain first.
?

Still stuck? Email support@snapps.ai with your Site ID and a screenshot.

The standard DNS records

Three records point a domain at a Snapps site: one CNAME for www and two A records for the root domain. They are the same for every Snapps site.

TypeName / HostValue / Points toWhat it does
CNAMEwwwsites.snapps.sitePoints www.yourbusiness.com to your Snapps site.
A@166.117.124.22Points the root domain (yourbusiness.com) to Snapps, which sends visitors on to www.
A@99.83.250.165Second address for the root domain. Add both A records.

Settings › Domain always shows the records for your domain after you click Connect. If anything there differs from this table, follow Settings › Domain.

Before you add them

  • Remove conflicting records. Delete any other A, AAAA or CAA records for @, and any other CNAME or A record for www. Old records from a previous website or a parking page stop the new ones from working, and a CAA record can block your security certificate.
  • Keep your email records. Don’t touch MX records, or TXT records for SPF, DKIM or DMARC. Your email keeps working.
  • Name or Host: @ means the root domain itself. Some providers leave the field empty or want the full domain instead. Enter only the part shown; most providers add your domain on the end automatically.
  • TTL: leave it on the default, or choose the shortest option (such as 1 hour or Automatic).
Good to knowUsing Cloudflare? Set each record to DNS only (grey cloud), not Proxied (orange cloud).

Add DNS records at GoDaddy

Point a GoDaddy domain at your Snapps site.

  1. Sign in to GoDaddy and open My Products.
  2. Next to your domain, click DNS (or open the domain and choose Manage DNS).
  3. Delete existing A records for @ and the CNAME for www if they point somewhere else (GoDaddy often adds a parking record).
  4. Click Add New Record. Add the CNAME: Type CNAME, Name www, Value sites.snapps.site.
  5. Add the two A records: Type A, Name @, Value 166.117.124.22, then again with 99.83.250.165.
  6. Save. Snapps picks up the change on its own.
TipIf GoDaddy’s domain forwarding is turned on for this domain, turn it off; it overrides your records.
?

Add DNS records at Namecheap

Point a Namecheap domain at your Snapps site.

  1. Sign in to Namecheap and open Domain List.
  2. Click Manage next to your domain, then open Advanced DNS.
  3. Under Host Records, delete any URL Redirect, parking or old A / CNAME records for @ and www.
  4. Click Add New Record: CNAME Record, Host www, Value sites.snapps.site.
  5. Add two A Records with Host @: one with 166.117.124.22 and one with 99.83.250.165.
  6. Click the green tick to save each record.
Good to knowAdvanced DNS only appears when the domain uses Namecheap BasicDNS. If it uses custom nameservers, add the records wherever those nameservers are managed.
?

Still stuck? Email support@snapps.ai with your Site ID and a screenshot.

Add DNS records at Cloudflare

Point a domain whose DNS is on Cloudflare at your Snapps site.

  1. Sign in to Cloudflare, open your domain and go to DNS › Records.
  2. Edit or delete existing A, AAAA and CNAME records for @ and www.
  3. Click Add record: Type CNAME, Name www, Target sites.snapps.site, Proxy status: DNS only.
  4. Add two A records with Name @: IPv4 166.117.124.22 and 99.83.250.165, both DNS only.
  5. Save.
Good to knowThe grey cloud (DNS only) matters. With the orange cloud (Proxied), the domain can’t be verified and the security certificate won’t issue.
?

Still stuck? Email support@snapps.ai with your Site ID and a screenshot.

Add DNS records at other providers

The steps are the same everywhere; only the menu names change.

  • Squarespace Domains (formerly Google Domains): Domains › your domain › DNS › Custom records.
  • Hostinger: Domains › Manage › DNS / Nameservers › DNS records.
  • Bluehost: Domains › your domain › DNS.
  • IONOS: Domains & SSL › your domain › DNS.
  • Wix or Squarespace-hosted domains: the domain’s DNS settings in that platform’s domain manager.
  • Any other provider: look for DNS, DNS Zone, Advanced DNS or Manage DNS.

Add the records from The standard DNS records, removing conflicting ones first.

TipCan’t find the DNS page? Ask your provider’s support to “add these DNS records” and send them the table.
?

Still stuck? Email support@snapps.ai with your Site ID and a screenshot.

www or the root domain: choosing your primary address

Decide which address visitors see. The other one redirects to it automatically.

When your domain is connected, Settings › Domain shows Primary domain with two choices: www.yourbusiness.com (recommended) or yourbusiness.com.

  1. Open Settings › Domain and find your connected domain.
  2. Choose the Primary domain.
  3. Publish again, so your sitemap uses the new address.
Tipwww is recommended because it’s the most reliable setup with every DNS provider. Use the same version on your Google Business Profile, social profiles and printed materials.
?

Still stuck? Email support@snapps.ai with your Site ID and a screenshot.

Domain status and certificates

What happens after you add the records.

  • Waiting for records: the domain shows a spinner and the records to add. The page updates on its own once they take effect; you don’t need to click anything.
  • Active: the records are found and the domain is switched on.
  • Security certificate (HTTPS): issued automatically, usually within 15 minutes of the records taking effect. There’s nothing to buy or install.

DNS changes usually spread in minutes, but some providers take a few hours, and in rare cases up to 48 hours.

TipWhile you wait, your free snapps.site address keeps working.
?

Still stuck? Email support@snapps.ai with your Site ID and a screenshot.

Move a domain from your old website

Switch an existing domain to Snapps without downtime or losing email.

  1. Build and check the new site on its free snapps.site address first. Your old site stays live meanwhile.
  2. Add 301 redirects in Settings › Redirects for any old page addresses that changed.
  3. Click Connect in Settings › Domain and note the records.
  4. At your DNS provider, replace the old website records for @ and www with the Snapps records. Leave MX and email TXT records alone.
  5. When the domain shows Active, publish.
Good to knowThe switch happens when the DNS change spreads, usually within minutes. Visitors see either the old site or the new one, never an error, as long as you don’t delete the old records before adding the new ones.
TipSites on the previous Snapps builder are moved for you. See Moving sites from the previous builder.

Domain not connecting?

Work through these checks. Nearly every problem is one of them.

  1. Typo: the domain in Settings › Domain has no https://, spaces or trailing slash.
  2. Exact match: each record at your provider matches what Snapps shows: type, name and value. Copy and paste rather than retype.
  3. Doubled name: if your provider adds the domain automatically, a name like www.yourbusiness.com becomes www.yourbusiness.com.yourbusiness.com. Enter just www.
  4. Conflicts: no other A, AAAA or CAA records for @, no other record for www, and no domain forwarding or parking turned on.
  5. Cloudflare: records set to DNS only (grey cloud).
  6. Nameservers: you’re editing DNS where the domain’s nameservers point. If the domain uses another company’s nameservers, add the records there.
  7. Time: give it a few hours; DNS can take up to 48.
TipCheck what the world sees with a DNS lookup tool such as dnschecker.org: www should show a CNAME to sites.snapps.site, and the root domain should show A records 166.117.124.22 and 99.83.250.165.
Good to knowStill stuck after 48 hours? Contact support with your domain and a screenshot of your DNS records.

Email on your domain

Connecting your domain to Snapps doesn’t affect your email.

Email uses MX records (and TXT records for SPF, DKIM and DMARC). The Snapps records only change where your website lives, so as long as you leave those email records in place, email keeps working.

Switch a site to another domain, or disconnect it.

  1. Open Settings › Domain.
  2. Under Connected domains, click Remove next to the domain.
  3. To use a different domain, connect it now.
  4. Publish.
Good to knowRemoving a domain stops it showing your site. Update or delete the records at your DNS provider too.

Buy or transfer a domain

Search for, register and transfer domains from your dashboard.

  1. Open My Domains in your Snapps dashboard.
  2. Search for a name and click Register, or use Transfer to move a domain you own elsewhere.
  3. Connect it to a site in that site’s Settings › Domain.
TipYou don’t need to move a domain to use it with Snapps. Connecting it with DNS records works with any provider.

Changes not showing on your live site?

Check these in order.

  1. Publish after editing. The top bar shows when the site was last published.
  2. Hard-refresh the page (Ctrl+F5 on Windows, Cmd+Shift+R on Mac) or open a private window.
  3. Check the item isn’t hidden on that device (Advanced › Show on).
  4. Check the free snapps.site address. If the change shows there but not on your domain, your domain may still point elsewhere: see Domain not connecting?

What developers can customize

The builder is visual first, with proper hooks for code.

  • Site CSS: one stylesheet for the whole site.
  • Code injection: site-wide code in the head or at the end of every page.
  • Page head HTML: code for one page.
  • HTML element: markup and scripts anywhere on a page.
  • Anchor IDs and CSS classes on every section, column and element.
  • Webhooks: every form submission POSTed as JSON.
  • Redirects, robots.txt, automatic sitemap and structured data.
  • MCP: build and edit sites from Claude, ChatGPT or Grok.
Good to knowSite-wide code runs on the published site, never inside the editor, so a broken script can’t lock you out.
?

Still stuck? Email support@snapps.ai with your Site ID and a screenshot.

Site CSS

Style the whole site with your own CSS.

  1. Open Settings › Code injection › Site CSS.
  2. Write your CSS. It applies to every page, after the theme and element styles.
  3. For phones, wrap rules in @media (max-width:767px){ … }.
  4. Publish.
TipStyle your own CSS classes rather than the builder’s internal class names, which can change.
?

CSS classes and anchor IDs

Name any section, column or element so code and links can find it.

  1. Select the item and open Advanced › Developer.
  2. Anchor ID: a unique name such as pricing. Links to /page#pricing scroll there, and buttons can link to it.
  3. CSS classes: one or more class names, separated by spaces.

  3. Give it a CSS class in Advanced if you style it from Site CSS.
TipScope CSS and JavaScript to your own wrapper element so it can’t affect the rest of the page.

Form webhooks

Receive every submission in your own system.

  1. Open the form › Actions after submit › Webhook.
  2. Paste your HTTPS endpoint into Webhook URL and save.
  3. Each submission is POSTed as JSON, from Preview and from the published site.
TipEach field’s Field key is the name it has in the submission data. Set clear keys before you build your integration.

Build and edit sites with AI (MCP)

Snapps connects to Claude, ChatGPT and Grok through MCP, so you can build and edit by chatting.

  1. Connect your AI assistant to Snapps over MCP. Contact support for your connection details.
  2. Ask in plain language, for example “add a pricing section to the Services page” or “make the hero darker”.
  3. The assistant edits the real sections and elements, which stay fully editable in the builder.
  4. Review in Preview and publish when you’re happy.

Responsive breakpoints

How the published site adapts to screen sizes.

  • The editor has Desktop, Tablet and Mobile views; Tablet and Mobile inherit Desktop until you change them.
  • Columns stack on phones unless you turn off Stack columns on mobile.
  • For your own CSS, use @media (max-width:767px) for phones.

Share a site with someone

Give a client or teammate access to a site.

  1. In My Sites, open the site’s ⋮ menu › Share Site.
  2. Enter their email address and share.

Sites shared with you appear under Shared Sites in the dashboard.

Good to knowSharing gives access but doesn’t change the owner. To transfer ownership, contact support.

Rename, copy the ID or delete a site

Manage a site from its menu in My Sites.

  • Rename Site changes the name in your dashboard. (The name in search results comes from SEO settings.)
  • Copy Site ID copies the short ID support asks for.
  • Delete removes the site permanently. This can’t be undone.

Reuse a site's design

There’s no one-click site copy yet. These get you close.

  • Start a new site from the same template.
  • Save sections you want to reuse with the bookmark and add them from Saved.
  • Duplicate pages within a site.
TipContact support if you need an exact copy of a site.

Moving sites from the previous builder

Every site on the previous Snapps builder is moved to this builder for free. You don’t need to request it.

Timeline

  • Now: want to move sooner? Ask support and we’ll move your sites early.
  • By the end of Q4 2026: every site is migrated, free, with its pages at the same addresses, text, images, forms, blog posts, redirects, SEO settings and tracking.
  • When you’re notified: switch your DNS to see your updated site live. Until you do, visitors keep seeing your current site.
  • Q1 2027: your dashboard shows only sites on this builder.

What you need to do

  1. Wait for our email saying your sites are ready (or ask support to move them early).
  2. Review each site on its free snapps.site address and make any changes.
  3. Add the three DNS records for each domain (see The standard DNS records).
  4. Publish.
TipMoved sites are listed under Migrations in your dashboard.

Sell a site on the Marketplace

Buy and sell working websites with their traffic.

Open Marketplace in your dashboard. List a site with its traffic stats and take bids or set a Buy Now price, or browse sites for sale (some include the domain).

Undo mistakes and recover work

Snapps saves every change as you go.

  • Undo (Ctrl/Cmd+Z) steps back through recent changes.
  • Your live site only changes when you publish, so edits are safe until then.
  • Duplicate a page before a big redesign.
  • Deleted a page or site by mistake? Contact support straight away.

Editor not loading or saving?

Try these steps.

  1. Check the status at the top: Saved means your work is stored.
  2. Reload the editor.
  3. Don’t edit the same site in two tabs at once.
  4. Update your browser, pause extensions, or try a private window.
  5. Check your internet connection.

Fix mobile layout issues

Most mobile problems are text that’s too big or spacing made for desktop.

  1. Switch to Mobile view.
  2. Reduce heading sizes in Theme › Mobile.
  3. Reduce padding on crowded sections (it only affects mobile while you’re in Mobile view).
  4. Hide items that don’t work on phones with Show on.
  5. Check Stack columns on mobile and Reverse order on mobile.

Keep your site fast

Snapps publishes lean pages and optimizes images. A few habits help.

  • Upload sensibly sized photos; Snapps makes the smaller versions.
  • Keep background videos short, or use YouTube or Vimeo.
  • Remove scripts you no longer use from Code injection.
  • Use animations and sliders where they add something.
TipTest your live page with Google PageSpeed Insights.
